About Fili

My name is Fili Wiese. I was born and raised in a friendly city called Groningen in The Netherlands. Currently I proudly work for one of the most well known companies in the world: Google.
I joined Google Ireland late 2005 for the Dutch search quality evaluation team. I am currently working as a search quality analyst on webspam related issues and support search quality efforts across all European languages and several non-European languages (e.g. Turkish, Arabic, Hebrew, Afrikaans, etc.). My personal interests include a passion for science fiction tv series, the internet (e.g. domaining and coding in Python), inline skating (roller-blades) and diving (both in- and outside Ireland).
When I am not coding, diving or skating, you may also find me on the Google Webmaster Help Forum as a Dutch Google Guide, where I participate in discussions with Dutch webmasters. Before joining Google Ireland, I received my degree in information services and management (IDM) at the Hanze University in Groningen, worked as a freelance webmaster and ran a small webhosting company in the Netherlands.
